Every year, the MARC participates in ARRL Field Day. Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 40,000 radio amateurs set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event.
If you are looking to get your Technician license, or want to upgrade to General or Extra, the MARC provides in-person Amateur Radio License Exams. Our Volunteer Examiner team is accredited by the ARRL VEC. Please check the License Exams page on our website for more details.
Club Breakfasts were suspended in 2020 due to COVID-19. We hope to resume them in the near future. Please check our News page for updates.
MARC Club Meetings are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Catfish Campus Restaurant in Columbia, TN. Club meetings are also available via Zoom for members who can’t attend in person. During our meetings we conduct any club business that needs to be brought before the membership, and afterwards we usually have a guest speaker or presentation from one of our members.
