Field Day

Every year, the MARC participates in ARRL Field Day. Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 40,000 radio amateurs set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event.

Exam Sessions

If you are looking to get your Technician license, or want to upgrade to General or Extra, the MARC provides in-person Amateur Radio License Exams. Our Volunteer Examiner team is accredited by the ARRL VEC. Please check the License Exams page on our website for more details.

Club Breakfasts

On the fourth Saturday of every month, the club hosts an breakfast at a local area restaurant. It is not a formal meeting – just a time for members to get together and enjoy food and fellowship. If you are interested in the MARC or amateur radio, please feel free to join us!

Club Meetings

MARC Club Meetings are currently held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except June and September). Club meetings are also available via Zoom for members who are unable to attend in person. In June we have our meeting during the Field Day Dinner and in September during the Annual Club Picnic. During our meetings we conduct any club business that needs to be brought before the membership, and afterwards we usually have a guest speaker or a presentation from one of our members.
